Strong, low geared motor turns table (potter's wheel) while you shape the clay. Shaping clay will not stop strong low geared motor. Clay should be pre-moistened for easy shaping (included). What is a practical use for this set your kids can make? Make pots for separating your change. Easy to count separated change and pay with loose change. Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters. Finally get rid of all that loose change! Tested electrically and works perfectly. Tools and paints never used. Set parts list (according to instructions): speed control foot pedal (plugs into main unit) / 5 color paints / paint brush / glaze / two lathe-style cutting tools and tool rest (mounts on stand) / pottery wheel and stand / colored mosaic decorating chips / two pounds clay (should be pre-moistened) / complete instructions with easy "how to" pictures.
