Vintage 1960's Suit Sewing Pattern Jacket Skirt Size 16 Bust 36

Please check the pictures and descriptions carefully, as we take great effort to show you any flaws that may be present.

Take a page out of TV's Mad Men or Pan Am with the cute retro suit. From 1964, we have this wonderful sewing pattern by Simplicity Patterns. It has a slim knee-length skirt with a short double-breasted jacket. The jacket has no collar, which makes it easy to sew and easy to wear with all sorts of blouses or tops.

The pattern, number 5595 from Simplicity, is dated 1964. It has been cut, but is complete, with all pattern pieces and the instructions present. It has pattern pieces for the jacket, skirt, and a "dickey" (partial blouse with just collar and front pieces that show) and cuffs.It is a size 16, which for this pattern corresponds to a bust measurement of 26 inches, waist of 28 inches, and hip of 38 inches. The pattern envelope has a bit of age-related yellowing and foxing (tiny brown spots) and has worn corners and a small tear in the flap, but is otherwise in excellent condition.

This is such a terrific, classic style that just as fashionable today as it was in 1964. Make it in a variety of fabrics and colors to build yourself a complete wardrobe for the office.
