that the track be clean and kept free from oil. The track cleaning
or service car was designed to allow you to keep the tracks clean and bright
with the least possible effort.
When the track is very dirty, best results will be obtained if the two front
felt wipers are saturated with Track Cleaning Fluid,
a safety fluid made expressly for cleaning all dirt, grime and oil from model
railroad tracks. By wetting the front set of wipers they will tend to loosen
the heavy dirt film on the track and allow the rear wipers to clean it off.
If the track has only an oil film no cleaning fluid is necessary as the
wipers alone will clean the track.
When wipers become dirty or worn on one side, turn them slightly on
their axle so a new surface will be in contact with the track.
