As the set includes 8ea ... Metal end fittings (4ea ... 18mm length and 4ea ... 20mm) this allows for 3 different strut lengths (Approximately... 7, 7 1/8, 7 1/4 inch depending on the end fitting combination) PLEASE be sure what length you are using (they are measured center to center of the ball sockets) ... these are 170lb (756 Newtons) output

You are bidding / buying (2ea) gas spring / shock / strut Manufactured for Nitro-Prop Strut and Spring (NP SP7-779-170) this unit is totally self-contained, hermetically-sealed, a hydro pneumatic linear actuator containing pressurized nitrogen gas, which provides the output force.
This set comes complete with 8ea threaded removable 10mm STEEL locking ball sockets for both the rod and tube ends (if you are in need of mounting brackets or ball studs see our selection listed in the store)
TIP: there are several different styles of these aftermarket hinges being manufactured today; to be sure you are getting the correct replacement measure (Open and Closed length as well as output pressure) of your old strut (again center to center of the ball sockets) as they can be a tight fit depending on your brand of hinge. Also most hinges have 10mm end fittings, but I have seen 13mm fittings being used as well be sure to check your old ones. The output pressure per strut is 170lb (be sure this is what you want) ...
