Up for bid another marvelous Dakota Prairie Treasures CD Republication™ of Flapper Era Candy Recipes from 1923!

Now this genteel society seemed focused on doing everyday tasks with grace and social decorum! This included the daily kitchen routine and included presenting family, friends and company with delicious delicacies produced every month of the year with whatever fresh fruits, nuts, cream, butter, etc., that were readily available. If the ingredients weren't in season, or on hand because you canned it yourself the prior year, you were not going to make or share these succulent treats!

All Dakota Prairie Treasures CD Republications™ are viewable on Windows, Mac and Linux pc operating systems!

This item is a great resource for those who are 1920's historical reenactment enthusiasts, students of culinary, cooking and candy making arts, etc!

FYI: Many of our customer's favorite CD Republications™ are now becoming available in Spiral Bound Pattern Book™ format!

If you would prefer these antique recipes as a Spiral Bound Pattern Book™ instead of a CD Republication™ please email! We will list it for you ASAP and email you it's listing number to expedite your order!

These wonderful recipes made me think how easy, good and graciously gifted to others that such treats would be for a dinner party, family gathering or a lazy Sunday afternoon gathering! Taffy pull anyone

You will be set with candy recipes for every possible holiday or occasion! Birthdays to weddings, graduations, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, Valentine's Day, Christmas, even the Forth of July!

An excerpt:

''Whatever your preference or whatever the occasion for which candy is desired you will find in The Candy Calendar just the recipe you want -- delicious, economical and thoroughly tested so that you may be sure if the recipe is followed the result will be just as it should. Recipes are arranged according to months, depending on the seasonableness of the ingredients they contain or upon the nutritive properties of the candy as a whole.''

''The tremendous financial success of Mrs. Snyder's, Fannie May and Martha Washington candies, all made by women who started in a small way to manufacture and sell home-made candy as a means of defraying household expense, are proof of the response of the American people to wholesome candy.

By reading the articles contained in this book on the making and packing of candy for sale, anyone may easily establish a reputation for good candy which will prove a source of profit at holiday times or the basis of a permanent year-round business.''

''The Woman's World Candy Calendar is a collection of  two hundred and three practical and economical candy recipes gathered from every state of the Union, carefully edited and tested as to the accuracy of measurements and the wholesomeness and palatability of each variety by Lillian Dynevor Rice...''
