Up for bid is a CD REPRODUCTION of the original ''Florence Home Needle-Work'' by the Nonotuck Silk Co. during the Victorian era! This item was originally published in Florence, Mass, in 1892! (Original is NOT for sale)
This HISTORIC CD Republication contains guidelines, instructions, diagrams, designs and instructional fundamentals for creating a variety of classic and stylish knit, crochet, drawn work, Irish Lace, cross stitch and sewing projects from the Victorian era! There are many unique, antique pattern guidelines, instructions and diagrams for the ultra-feminine Victorian projects! Great for the folks you hare involved in the SCA and reinactment groups!
The antique and vintage fabric, thread, flosses, etc., can be found on Atomic Mall quite readily. You just have to hunt a little bit! :) Or, of course, you can utilize contemporary tools and materials found at a near by fabric, craft or hobby store
An excerpt:
The discriptions are illustrated by engravings made by our own artists expressly for this edition, and are so clear that we think little difficulty will be experienced by our readers in the use of the beautiful stitches employed by the people of other countries in their home needle-work.''
