While an odd combination, featured here are classic radio airchecks and classic sports cards.

If you miss the radio you grew up listening to, you can relive those fun times once again. We've carefully restored many classic sounds of radio from New York City and elsewhere from the 1950's, 60's, 70's and even some special moments from the 80's.

You'll also find classic collectible sports cards from the 1970's to the 1990's. While others ask you to take a chance on unproven players of today whose card values can crash and burn, the sports cards here are proven commodities.

Alan Freed WINS 1955/WABC 1959

This is a great example of Alan Freed who brought Rock & Roll to radio.

The first cut brings you the man when he was on top of the world. This is a 17 minute unscoped example of Alan Freed on WINS in March of 1955. He talks up the music, bangs on the console in time with the music and does what he did best...promote Rock & Roll and his upcoming show at The Paramount Theater.

The second cut lasts just under 17 minutes and features Freed shortly before the payola scandal blew up in his face and took him out. You'll hear how Alan sounded on WABC in 1959. During the bulk of the day, WABC was easy listening but at night it was Rock & Roll time with Alan Freed.

You will notice that it's a very different Alan Freed at a very different sounding WABC.

This is one of the most valuable audio documents of what radio was to Rock & Roll at the start and what Alan Freed did to make it all come together.
