Atlas to Alison's History of Europe by Alexander Keith Johnston and published by
William Blackwood and Sons in 1850

Alison's Atlas, a must have for every student of the Napoleonic Military era, covers every major military engagement from the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. It also includes several national maps and town plans. The maps show plans of sieges and battles and show the whole range of campaigns including locations of troops and political boundaries. These detailed maps can be used to get a true visual understanding of the events surrounding each of the battles and the strategic positionings of troops and other resources during the campaigns profiled.

Each of the 108 pages of the entire atlas has been carefully scanned and stored as a high resolution jpg image that you can view on your computer screen or print out on your printer or on a large format printer. The maps look great even printed on 18 to 24 inch wide paper.

We have posted a sample page of the atlas (pictured above in small size) - Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815: sheet 2nd, crisis of the battle. It is a large file - approximately 3 MB in size so it will take several seconds to download. It will open in a separate browser window and this image measures approximately 2600 x 2000 pixels in size.

Here are all the maps and pages included on this CD.
