Dakota Prairie Treasures is now producing Heavy Ivory Vintage Quality 100% Cotton Muslin Squares embellished with antique and vintage Victoriana/Americana in color or black and white illustrations!
This particular steel cut image is an 1873 antique Victorian black & ivory illustration measuring approximately 10 by 8 inches. It is of a lovely and beautify little girl seeking assistance from the village smithy regarding her broken doll! It is titled ''The Strange Physician.'' It is a wonderfully detailed illustration of a iron smith's shop and what merry eyes and smile he possesses as he holds out his hand to accept the damaged bisque porcelain doll pieces from the barefoot miss! His young assistant, who is pumping the huge bellows for the forge with one hand and holding a tobacco pipe in the other, is equally astonished and amused by her request! Is not this bucolic Victorian day-in-the-life of them all both marvelously and touchingly wonderful
The fabric square provided you is of heavy vintage quality 100% ivory cotton muslin and which reminds me of the lovely stuff my Grandmother and Mother used in their quilting projects in the 1920's.
Our high quality images are professionally heat transferred and must pass a stringent quality assurance inspection prior to shipment. The finished product measures about 11x11 inches. The seam allowance may vary, as per your artistic muse, from one to several inches.
