This auction is for an original very rare photograph from World War I of Germany's Peace Envoys.
The caption reads: "Pleases watch your credit line. Photo by Central News Photo Service, New York. 11308-S Exclusive photo of Germany's Peace Envoys. Marshall Foch today handed in Peace terms to Germany's Delegates. This is the only photo in this country showing the three German Delegates in conference at a meeting. In the photo seated at the table in the center are:- Admiral Von Hintze; General H.K A. Winterfeld and Vice Admiral Meurer. 11/7/18."
Back is stamped with copyright-by Central News Photo Service. Photo area is good; corners are cut and have tape and a few minor tears on edge. Could be cropped and framed for a beautiful and rare item!! From a local estate with several original photos. As the caption reads-the only photo with three German Delegates. A must have for the real collector, as this is a museum-type item-the actual surrender that ended the Cold War.
