This set includes: (8) INDIAN HEAD CENT COINS dated: (1)1893, (1)1895, (1)1897, (1)1899, (2)1902, (2)1906 and (4) Unused stamps: (1) INDIAN CENTENNIAL, CHEROKEE, CHICKASAW, CHOCTAW, MUSCOGEE, SEMINOLE, THE FIVE CIVILIZED INDIAN TRIBES OF OKLAHOMA, 1848-1948, UNITED STATES POSTAGE, 3 , first issued in 1948, (2) FREDERIC REMINGTON, ARTIST OF THE WEST, 1861-1961, U.S. POSTAGE, 4 , first issued in 1961, (3) U.S. POSTAGE, 3 , 50th ANNIVERSARY DEVILS TOWER NATIONAL MONUMENT, first issued in 1956 and (4) LEWIS AND CLARK EXPEDITION, 1804-1954, UNITES STATES POSTAGE, 3 , first issued in 1954. FRAME TEXT READS: The Indian Head Cents were designed in 1859 by James B. Longacre. On the obverse is a profile of an Indian in headdress. The reverse was first a laurel wreath and later a wreath of oak with a shield at the top. Indian Head cents were minted until 1909. Stamps included in this collection are the 3 Indian Centennial Stamp first issued in 1948, the 4 Frederic Remington artist of the West stamp first issued in 1961, the 3 50th anniversary Devils Tower National Monument stamp first issued in 1956 and the 3 Lewis & Clark Expedition 150th Anniversary stamp first issued in 1954.
