Description

THIMBLE OF THE MONTH CLUB "BROCADE THIMBLE" MADE IN ENGLAND PATENT IRONSIDE

THIS WAS THE THIMBLE OF THE MONTH CLUB THIMBLE IN FEBRUARY 1987. THIS IS HOW IT WAS DESCRIBED BACK THEN TO THE CLUB:

A profusion of delicately hued blossoms, arrayed in a black laquered basket, adorns this distinctive thimble from Mason's Ironstone - one of the most widely recognized names in the history of English pottery-making. Since Charles James Mason took out the now-famous patent for the original Ironstone in 1813 and began producing the hardy and handsome earthenware at Lane Delph, Staffordshire - the Mason name has been identified with the finest English Ironstone.

I AM PUTTING ALOT OF MY THIMBLES UP FOR AUCTION, SOME INDIVIDUAL, SOME IN LOTS, AS WELL AS MY COLLECTOR PLATES. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK. HAPPY BIDDING!!!!! MICHELE
