Up for bid is another marvelous Dakota Prairie Treasures Spiral Bound Book Republication™ of our original ''Woman's Institute Millinery Guide: Novelty Trimmings: Hand-Made Flowers'' originally published in 1916!

This HISTORIC item includes general history, use, details and instructions regarding the millinery artificial flower, fruit and rare bird feather materials used in the Titanic Era Millinery Trade. It covers the do's and don't's of which flower, fruit or feather arrangements, should, or should not, be worn by whom, and how, every season of the year!

During the aftermath of Audubon's, and various rare bird conservation groups, success at stemming the rare bird feather trade in the late 1800's the clever Millinery artists created many man-made substitutes for the various restricted and banned feathers and ornaments used in the Millinery trade. Their artistic success was historically proven as the booming trade in their lovely handmade feather ornaments were so sought after for millinery, clothing and household decorative use! (Original is NOT for sale)

Our new line of Spiral Bound Book Republications™ oh-so-convenie ntly lie flat while in use!

This is a unbelievably nice touch if you have every tried to read a pattern's instructions while your hands are full of your in progress project. As an avid needleworker myself my personal experience prompted my choice of spiral binding for it's ease-of-use alone. I bet you'll love it too!

*** Producing the best CD & Spiral Bound Book Republications for you since 1999! ***

This item is a great resource for those who are historical reenactment enthusiasts, stage and theatre costumers, students of historical millinery, clothing, fiber and textile arts, etc!

Our customers say:

''Always a great product and super customer service too. Thanks Linda!!! A+++++''

 ''Smooth transaction, highly recommended!''

This is certainly a fine study on the history of the Millinery trade. Valuable guidance and inspiration is contained in this item for the creative needlework, fabric & thread artists who desire to study and recreate excellent remakes of the early delicate and dainty millinery styles. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase your own version of another historic arts & crafts guide revealing our heritage.
