Unique and hard to find clothing for the ultra hip modern gypsies and hippies who dance to the beat of their own drum. I shop the major clothing shows on the West Coast to select the funkiest clothing I can find. Most are manufactured in 3rd world countries. I try to be selective: No child labor, and maybe pay a little more for top notch quality. I bring you only what I'd wear myself. No dusty warehouse sale stuff and I promise you, you'll never get someone's mistake! All is new with tags, hand selected by me!

What
a funky skirt! It's a rich fudgey chocolate brown, but take a look at
the tie dye on this one in white across the middle section of the
skirt!
This is rayon, parts feel like soft cotton, jacquard satin,
crochet, teensy waffle weave and beautiful embroidered gauze ruffle.
It's cool water wash rayon but the elements surely don't look or feel
like any run of the mill rayon. But I'll get to that.
Every single
one is hand done so there will be a bit of difference, but all are this
rich fudge brown with the tie dye in white in the middle. Killer!
First
the skirt is a free or One Size and is really a long one -- with an
elastic waist and an added string tie for further adjustment. The skirt
begins at the top with a soft drapey heavy cotton-like feel rayon.
Attached to that piece is an embroidered looking satin jacquard
print--and this piece is huge and ends in a big VEE in the middle. This
is the piece that has the tie dye. There is then satin trim with little
circle chain in the center. Next comes a piece of satin, embroidered
horizontally with flowers and leaves. This follows the "VEE" pattern in
the middle of the skirt. The satin piece is then trimmed again with
that same circle trim. The next piece is crinkley--almost has the
texture of seer sucker--very light. Then comes the circle trim
embellishment again. Next, an open weave crochet piece. Again, yes,
more chain circle trim. FINALLY a big gauzey piece that hangs sort of
like a ruffle. The bottom has floral sprigs in satin embroidery.
If
you look at the pictures you can see the intricate way the skirt comes
together in the middle, incorporating all the different textures. It is
truly gorgeous!! Plus it is HUGE-- in terms of the sweep at the
bottom--and the length, too!!
MEASUREMENTS
Measurements
are taken across the front only. The waist unstretched measures 14" and
stretches to 20"-21" comfortably. At the end of the first piece, the
skirt measures 24" which is about the upper hip area. The skirt then
just gets wider because of the insetting of the fabric. As near as I
can tell, the bottom of the skirt measures an incredible 230" all the
way around. Swishy, feminine, gypsy-esque. The length, though not
constant because of the swoops, is 39" and then 43" (YES!!) at the
longest. This one has it all!!
LOTS of farbic here!!
These are
heavy--lots of fabric so that's why the higher shipping.
The msrp on these ones is $42. Help me move out the last of 'em at cost now!
