Antique Victorian Embroidery Lessons with Colored Studies on CD!

CD Republicaiton

Originally Published 1898!

Up for bid is another lovely Antique Victorian CD Republication, the ''Manual of Art Needlework, Embroidery and Knitting'', with scores of patterns and instructions! These folks proviced some of the best instruction books for the needle arts ever published! The experienced needlecraft and facywork artisans of the late 1800's clamored for this type of item and with good reason! (Original is NOT for sale)

This 126 page CD Republication covers the gentle art of using linen, cotton or other materials, needles and various threads (silk, linen and cotton) to make the daintiest (but also amazingly sturdy) decorative embroidered doilies, centerpieces, photo frames and tea cloths for the classiest of homes. You can readily find these antique and vintage materials on Atomic Mall! You just have to search a little bit! :) Or, you can select similar contemporary items on Atomic Mall or at your nearest craft, hobby or fabric store.

This CD item includes DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS for MANY DIFFERENT EMBROIDERED FLOWERS and BUNNIES, 41 DIFFERENT EMBROIDERY STITCHES, and 65+ ANTIQUE, ORIGINAL VICTORIAN DOILY and OTHER EMBROIDERY PATTERNS from the late 1800's! ALL THE PATTERNS IN THE LISTING COLLAGE ARE INCLUDED and MORE!

I have also produced and included FULL PAGE-SIZED PATTERNS for those 65+ etchings shown in the listing collage for your stitching pleasure!

You may trace these patterns to your fabric at this size or easily enlarge or reduce them using a copier machine for your customized finished products. You can see this book will keep you busy a long time making beautiful, dainty, colorful decorative soft home furnishings and fabric items for you and yours, as gifts or to sell!

This HISTORIC book contains pages upon pages of steel plate etchings, instructions, designs and fundamentals for creating the extremely handsome soft furnishings of the Victorian era! There are 21 FULL-PAGE SIZED ANTIQUE embroidery doily, center piece and table runner patterns included! You will also find historical facts on this ancient craft as well as various RARE and UNIQUE guidelines to assist you along the way to recreating the needleworked items of a classy and gentile society!

There are also a number of stocking patterns included for the knitting recreationists!

Here is an OLD, resourceful and exceptional embroidery instructional and design book on CD-ROM. These instructions are characteristic of the fancy work done by our oh-so-feminine lady ancestors during the Victorian era! This is the perfect opportunity to purchase your own version of another wonderful craft book revealing our heritage from early America and Europe!

An excerpt:

''In the endeavor to make this book larger and better than any previous edition we have called to our aid some of the best needleworkers and designers in this country, and the result is that we have the choicest collection of embroidery designs for home decoration it has ever been our privilege to present.

Special attention is called to the Corticelli Colored Plates...as they show not only the correct shading of each flower, but also the length and direction of the stitches.''
