Unusual Rare Antique 6" Pocket Size Measuring Device

Welcome....and Thank You for stopping by to 'take a peek' at my item for sale.

I'm not really sure how to best describe this OLD and Unusual Measuring Device...it belonged to my Grand Father who managed a large working farm, consequently something always needed 'fixing'...

It measures just a shade over 6" in length, is hinged in the middle and has a 'L' shaped end, I assume to hook over the end of what ever was being measured. There is no name on it as to who made it, only 'Made In U.S.A.'
