Description -- 11" long. Marked RC (Royal Crockery). Blue edge, floral sprays, brown trim. This beautiful pattern was done in the early 1950's. Excellent used condition. I would estimate(05/09) replacement value on this platter to be around $55.00.
Historical Data -- The Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake near Nagoya Japan by Baron Morimura in January 1904. Today it is one of the premier makers of fine China in the world.
Royal Crockery -- The RC (Royal Crockery) mark was first used on ware that was to be exported to India & Southeast Asia prior to WWII. After WWII it was reactivated by Noritake because they considered their products during that period to be of a lower quality and did not want the Noritake name associated with it.
