This is a vintage Taylor Instrument Company thermometer-the Taylor "Binoc". The Binoc thermometer is 3 times easier to read because of the triple-lens construction, as it gathers more light and concentrates it behind the magnified column. The tube is flat and the full degree marks are etched on the center lens directly above the mercury column. it has a temperature range of minus 20 deggrees to 120 degrees. It is enclosed in a round metal case with clip and a ring on the top. The case is 6 1/4" long. It comes in the original round cardboard tube with the original paper enclosure. The paper shows the latest copyright date of 1940. It is in excellent condition. The paper shows some wear on the bottom edge. The cardboard case is pretty good-the label is partially missing. A very rare and interesting item.
Thanks for looking!!!!
